Up 49% from $13.82 (2013-06-05)
On June 5, 2013 we profiled EW Scripps Co (SSP) as a Top Stock Pick
to our members at $13.82. Within a period of six months, SSP rose to a high of $20.54, for a return at it's peak of 49%. Obviously, one cannot sell exactly at the peak, but here is what we had observed about SSP:
- GSA Rank: 83.95 (Our proprietary ranking for SSP using fundamental AND technical factors)
- Accum/Dist Rank: 1.51 (Up vs. down volume action of SSP taken over several weeks)
Most importantly, SSP was trading just 8.0% off it's 52-week high price, and had a breakout from a sideways price consolidation pattern, a clear signal to time our position. It is imperative to not only buy the best stocks that are fundamentally sound, but also to time your purchase correctly.
