Q: Hello-Quick question for you. I'm trying to figure out the difference (if there is one) between the GSA portfolio and the GSA Auto portfolio. it looks to me that there are some different names in the Auto Portfolio. Are they supposed to be the same list?

Thanks for the help.

A: Hi,

Yes, there is a difference between the GSA Portfolio and the GSA Auto Portfolio. The GSA Portfolio is our real money portfolio, which we actively trade in the market. The Auto Portfolio on the other hand, is an automated portfolio, where we have built in buy/sell criteria based on our trading rules. It is designed to see if a purely emotionless system can handily beat the market over time. We also look at the signals (buys and sells) generated from the Auto Portfolio to see if we should buy or sell that particular stock in our real world portfolio.

Hope that helps.
