I'm also still in DFXI with a nice profit. Should I forget NTAP and CHKP or look for another entry point? I went back (at your suggestion) and studied the results of your 'Top Picks'. It was truly astonishing how well you have done-such big percentage gainers and few losers. Also impressive was that you laid low during that March / April collapse. I have cash on the sidelines waiting for other top picks and using this time to study and learn (xxxx tele-conference today)"...LB, Texas | Stock Investing Affiliate Program Refer our stock investing services and earn money! | | | Undervalued Stock Breakouts Q&A View Select Entries from Our Mailbag. Also See Our Q&A Page.Q: I'm looking for undervalued companies on the brink of breaking out. Have 10 years of managing my money trading and investing. A: Hi,
Thanks for trying out our service. I think your profile (someone who takes his investing seriously) may benefit from our offering.
We have a screen for undervalued stocks (*Discount%*) that you could set at <0% indicating stocks trading at a discount based on future growth prospects. Finding names that are on the brink of breaking out is a bit more tricky, since there's no easy way to define this scenario. Our recommendation would be to add the *Breakout* filter and then actually view the charts of stocks meeting these two criteria. If the breakout has not carried the stock too far from it's base, an entry may be worthwhile. It may be more timely to buy the breakout, than to wait for a stock which is still in it's base, waiting to breakout.
Another screen that may be useful to you, is from our *Daily Report*. We show a section on stocks bouncing off moving averages (50-day and 200-day) or breaking through these levels on strong volume. This may also provide stock charts worth looking at.
Best regards,
